Challenge
This project required the installation of a utility-scale BESS and the upgrade of legacy grid infrastructure to ensure compatibility, safety, and performance. The system had to comply with strict regulatory, technical, and operational requirements, while enabling advanced energy management functions such as peak shaving, load balancing, and backup power support.

Services provided
Voltage Group delivered a complete design and build solution, including:
Engineering design of the 2 MW / 4 MWh battery storage system and substation.
Construction and installation of containerized lithium-ion battery units with inverters, control systems, and fire protection.
Reconstruction of the 35/10 kV substation, including equipment upgrades for BESS connection.
System integration, commissioning, and compliance coordination with local grid operators.
Outcome
The project was completed on schedule and delivered a fully functional battery energy storage facility that enhances power reliability, efficiency, and flexibility for industrial operations.
